The upstairs bar is well worth the visit and, unusually for a popular bar, is large enough for you to enjoy your personal body space, unthreatened! It’s buzzing with a mixed and friendly crowd who get on down to enjoy the best-priced champagne in town, with Pommery served at £19 per bottle from 12 noon to 7pm every day (£33 after 7), 1995 Dom Pérignon for £80 or Krug for £89 and great and unusual collection of fine beers, such as Paulaner, Bitburger and St Peter’s Organic Bitter.
